I was born and raised on the south side of San Antonio. I'm a proud South Bobcat, Class of 1988. I have been blessed with 2 sons, Cody James and Jake Anthony.
I grew up listening to KEDA Radio. My "Ama" always had the radio on in the kitchen. There was always Conjunto music in our home. I remember setting the alarm clock for 6am on Saturday mornings to hear that great Conjunto music. Conjunto music is what inspired me to become a DJ!
In September 2003, The Davila's gave me the first opportunity. I was part of the KEDA family. The first day I went on the AIR ironically was the same day that the late Mr. Moon (Alfonso Luna) had passed away. Double E worked with me on the first day. When that "ON-AIR" light went on, I froze, felt nauseated and was nervous. After that shift everything fell into place.
I was given the name "La Reina De Conjunto" and it has stuck with me ever since. That name fits me perfect since all music on my program is PURO CONJUNTO!
